Matt has over 25 years of successful leadership in high growth startups across diverse markets (cloud, data center, security software, semiconductor, enterprise). He’s been an early stage CEO seven times with five of those companies achieving successful exits.

Most recently, Matt was CEO at RhodeCode, an early stage company with offices in Berlin and Silicon Valley. RhodeCode’s source code management system is used by large global enterprises to manage their complex and large scale needs. Matt’s prior CEO roles include Abaca Technology (email security company acquired by Proofpoint), Fat Spaniel (renewable energy software company acquired by Power-One), Q-layer (pioneering cloud data center automation startup acquired by Sun Microsystems), Determina (innovative enterprise security software company acquired by VMWare), and several other companies. Earlier in his career, he held executive sales and marketing roles at StrataCom, Cisco, and other companies. He has also been an EIR at Greylock, Benchmark, and Artiman Ventures.
